How to Get to the Kelvin Grove QUT Busway from our Apartments

It is an easy walk to the Kelvin Grove QUT Busway from Jewels Urban Edge Apartments. If you are wondering how to get to the Kelvin Grove QUT Busway from the apartment, this article will show you!

The busway is between QUT university and Victoria Park/Barrambin. I wrote about Victoria Park/Barrambin here. Come back and read that later if you like.

Here is what you need to know about how to walk to the busway from the apartment.

Walking Directions to Kelvin Grove QUT Busway.

Use this map and/or your phone; it will help. Below is the description of the walk.

Walking directions to Kelvin Grove QUT Busway
  • Exit Jewels Urban Escapes apartments and turn right
  • Go UP Blamey Street towards the university
  • Cross Victoria Park Road and enter the university grounds via the steps or driveway
  • Walk up that road/footpath (it is called the Ring Road) until it ends and turns into a pedestrianised area
  • Keep going straight – E block on your left and S block on your right
  • Take the lift (or the stairs) down to Level 1
  • Walk across ‘Main Path’ towards the busway

To go to the city/CBD or South Bank:

  • Cross over the top of the busway and go down the lift/stairs
  • Buses to the city and South Bank (labelled ‘Cultural Centre’) are 330, 333, 340, 390 and M2.
  • Remember to tap on when you get on – and tap off when you get off – you can use your atm card (you don’t need a special transport card!)

To go to the RBWH/Herston direction

  • Stay on this side of the platform and take the lift/stairs down to the platform
  • Every bus that arrives will stop next at the RBWH.

How to come back to the apartments:

If you are in the city, you need to come back from King George Square Station. If you are at South Bank you need to catch one the numbered buses above back from the ‘Cultural Centre’ stop between QPAC and the Queensland Museum.
