I am Janine Mergler and I have lived in Kelvin Grove since 2020 and in Brisbane since 1981. I am passionate about sharing up to date information and insider tips to my readers.
I am a Queensland teacher, graduating from QUT (Kelvin Grove) with a B.Ed majoring in History and Social Sciences in 1994. After many years in the classroom, I moved on to academia and have proudly trained new generations of teachers in my role as a lecturer at Queensland University of Technology Faculty of Education. For 12 years I owned Families Magazine – Brisbane, a publication specifically targeted at parents who value quality time and experiences with their children. I currently own Get Out with Kids where we show you the best things to do with kids across Australia based on our real life experiences – all vetted and written by us!
